a bit about Inka
Inka has had a passion for movement and anatomy from a young age. After tearing her ACL two years in a row playing soccer as a teenager, she set out on a path to understand her body and how to keep it healthy. This led her down a long journey of studying fascia, biomechanics, strength training and yoga. She is dedicated to helping her clients live their most vibrant and joyful lives by restoring balance and harmony within their bodies through movement and bodywork.
four to the core: instructor Q&A
How did your yoga journey start, and what does it look like today?
I fell in love with Yoga on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica in 2014. I was recovering from my fourth surgery on my knee for a torn meniscus, and yoga along with fascial work and a few other modalities helped me get my body back to where I was before the injuries. Because of the healing powers I experienced I have continued to always get back on the mat and have loved watching my practice evolve and morph over the years.
What’s something outside of yoga that inspires your practice?
I have been studying Ayurveda for the past year, and it has influenced the way I see the human body and therefore all movement. Understanding the different elemental makeup of each individual has helped me understand how to modify and curate for different body types. We’re all very unique!
What do you hope students take away from your classes?
I hope students leave feeling more embodied, understanding more about how their body moves, and empowered to bring this feeling into their everyday lives.
In three words, how would you describe the vibe of your classes?
Uplifting, Fun, Freeing
