My yoga journey began in 2005 as a complement to my workouts, but it wasn’t until 2010—after being diagnosed with chronic migraines—that I truly discovered its healing power.
I began my yoga journey with no idea of what to expect—thinking I’d signed up for some light stretching at my gym, I was surprised when a beginner class left my arms sore for days.
My movement journey truly began in 2017, while I was training for a marathon and suffered an injury. Yoga became my tool for healing — helping me stay strong, recover, and continue training.
I began practicing yoga at a studio local to my university because I needed to fill a large gap in my schedule, and drop-ins were $5 (if you can believe it!!!!)
I fell in love with Yoga on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica in 2014. I was recovering from my fourth surgery on my knee for a torn meniscus, and yoga along with fascial work and a few other modalities helped me get my body back to where I was before the injuries.
